Is the modern world a shadow of the past?

Probing development; is the modern world a shadow of the past?

From machines we proceeded to computers, internet, and today we are into satellite based internet with artificial intelligence.

Already AI has become a darling of all and its takeover is inevitable. Scholars are today helpless without it, offices are totally dependent on it, students are being taught with it, authors are using it to write books, doctorate thesis writing is just a few clicks away, and it is prying into everything to track and catch tax evaders and AI based surveillance is ubiquitous.

Hollywood movies have predicted this age. In my childhood I had seen a movie where a lady is locked out of society because her ID is disabled and on top of it the system is tracking her even as she struggles to hide. The other movie about a person who is relentlessly tracked was a hit. Movies like Terminator predicted the satellite based global rule. Almost every aspect of the proposed new world has been covered.

Science fiction books, books on UFOs and abductions, artificial wombs, space exploration and colonizing planets etc have been devoured by a population that began to enjoy the changes and dreaming about a totally new kind of life and society.

When you know what is coming you mentally prepare yourself for it and accept it when it comes.

Is all of this new or have such developments have also taken place in the past? While we have been fed the story of cave men, such periods may well have come after a destructive phase as people faced nature's wrath and had to again rebuild their lives under nature's realm.

We come across underground tunnels and living spaces where populations have taken shelter during intensely cold phases. The pyramids are revealing their secrets as transmitters of energy. They are everywhere pointing towards an worldwide grid.

Archeological findings and study of books, writings, and sketches that have survived the destructions point towards developments in the past swaying between intellectual and material development. Often they have coexisted; realized souls living amidst infatuated populations and their toys.

The earth has undergone many changes. Destruction has come in many forms. From floods to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, meteor strikes, the evidence is clear. But what caused the petrification of the giant species that once roamed the earth? Remnants of petrified giant beings (there are footprints too), snakes turned into stone, and stumps of huge trees that look like hills flattened at the top defy explanation.

There have also been findings of books, compasses, watches etc that defy all logic as carbon dating has shown them to belong to ages that, according to modern belief, ought to have been a world full of various kinds of apes and monkeys.

The world is an experiment, toying with ideas that seem to infatuate people and lead to civilizations that form, rise and collapse when the objectives of the growth are met. Then new ideas come and take their place.
