The doctor who blew the lid off the alleged nexus between vaccine manufacturers and doctors was suspended from the advisory committee of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) on Saturday.

Pediatrician Vipin Vashishtha had written an open letter to all 24,000 members of IAP on December 17 last year, raising concerns over immunisation guidelines being allegedly tweaked to favour certain vaccine manufacturers. IAP is one of the biggest paediatric associations in the country.
