Issues that are erupting now cannot be resolved.

We are witnessing seemingly isolated events. These events are gathering steam with the stakeholders unwilling to compromise and settle the issue. This may look perplexing on the surface but they have a basis.

The situation is developing because of utter neglect and allowing systems to degenerate over a long period of time. The people complain expecting justice but nothing happens. Then something hits the headlines and the pent up emotions pick up the issue to give vent to their anger.

Take the Tirupati incident for example. The Temple has been mismanaged for a very long time. The devotees have been pointing out the mismanagement and expecting justice but to no avail. Now that an issue has grabbed the headlines they are going to utilize it to highlight past neglect. To the ignorant it may seem that a mountain is being made out of a molehill but in reality the mountain already existed before the incident.

The intense politicization of society is responsible for the present situation. Politics involves keeping issues alive and dividing people. Genuine dissent is trivialized according to the dominant political current prevailing. Then when the current reverses another group highlights the neglect with a view to gaining from it.

Politics makes fools out of people. They forget everything; decency, maturity, and their responsibility towards society. They pretend to be intelligent but the very fact that they are willing to become political tools at the expense of social welfare proves that they are stupid.

The current fight between left and right factions has taken the stupidity towards a new height. When any issue crops up a quick calculation is made considering the community, region, and political party involved. Then the groups act accordingly without any thought about consequences. It is as if their existence depends upon which faction wins.

No one wins in such a situation except the people in power who enjoy power because they have a blind following; whether left or right. Both are "andha bhakt".

People should realize that politics and factionalism has destroyed society. Polarization has blindfolded people and the real solutions are not coming to the fore. Extremes are being encouraged whereas moderation and viewing issues from the welfare angle is the need of the day. Only the powerful gain from dissent and the resultant violence. The common people suffer.

The sane are falling silent and sensing that a huge collapse is the only option. Only the total collapse of the current civilization can open the path for a new sensible and caring society.
